F1: Ecclestone Hopes Bahrain Problem ‘Blows Away’
Bernie Ecclestone has given an extraordinary interview to BBC Radio that could turn into a PR disaster both for the commercial rights holder and the sport itself.
Ecclestone’s conversation with the BBC’s Dan Roan – who at times seemed to barely believe what he was hearing – is sure to attract wide coverage. It does not paint him in a very good light at a time when many voices are calling for an immediate cancellation to the Bahrain GP.
Having indicated Thursday that a cancellation of the season opener looked likely, he took a different view Friday, saying that his people on the ground there have told him that the situation has improved.

Irish banks are issuing bonds to themselves
http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/finance/2011/0217/1224290024749.html
Reminds me of that B&B episode where they copy dollar bills on a copier and go try to spend them at the quickie mart. When the clerk looks at them and says wtf is this and demands real money, Butthead puts another bad copied bill on the counter and says "Perhaps this will change your mind."LOL

First Tunisia, now Bahrain
Remember the first F1 race weekend in Bahrain starts 11 March. It will be interesting how that plays out given the unrest.
